Plagiarism and AI detection for every language
Catch copied, paraphrased and translated text, plus AI-written passages, in 40+ languages. One check, two clear reports, built for schools, universities, publishers and businesses worldwide.
An example report. Source 3 is a Spanish newspaper article; the essay translated it into English.
One check finds five kinds of evidence
Every report separates what was copied from how it was disguised, so you can talk about the work with the writer instead of arguing about a single number.
- Copied
Word-for-word or lightly edited passages, matched against the web, scholarly literature, your institution's repository and your own reference library.
- Paraphrased
Text run through a rewording tool or swapped for synonyms. A multilingual AI model compares meaning sentence by sentence, so new wording doesn't hide the source.
- Translated
A source in another language, translated into the submission. We search in other languages and lines the translation up with the original.
- AI-written
Passages that read like a language model wrote them, scored by several detectors at once. Each report says how reliable the score is for that language and length.
- Hidden tricks
Invisible characters, look-alike letters from other alphabets and spaced-out words are ignored when matching, so they cannot hide a copied passage.
Built for the way the world writes
Each language gets its own matching rules: Arabic letter forms, Hindi vowel signs, Chinese and Thai text without spaces, accents typed or left out. Documents that mix two languages are checked in both.
Similarity checking works in every language listed. Bold languages also have AI-writing detection rated medium reliability out of the box; for the others the report labels AI scores as low reliability or experimental.
How a check works
Upload or paste
PDF, Word, OpenDocument, RTF, HTML or plain text, up to 25 MB. The language is detected for you, even when a document mixes two.
We search and compare
The web, scholarly indexes and your repository are searched in the document's language and in translation, while several AI detectors score each passage.

What a typical checker misses
Most checkers were built for English and for copy-and-paste. Here is what changes when they aren't.
| What you need to catch | Origlots | Typical checker |
|---|---|---|
| Word-for-word copying | Yes | Yes |
| Text reworded by a paraphrasing tool | Yes, by meaning | Often missed |
| Copied from a source in another language | Yes, across 40+ languages | Rarely checked |
| Hidden characters and look-alike letters | Ignored when matching | Can break matching |
| Hindi, Arabic, Thai, Chinese and other scripts | Language-aware rules for each | Often treated as English |
| AI-writing score | Several detectors, with reliability per language | One score, same for every language |
| Proof a report is genuine | Watermark and public verification code | Varies |
